Western El Salvador or my worst-case scenario 🇸🇻

I arrived in El Salvador, Concepción de Ataco to be precise, with a tourist shuttle. Since then, I am taking local buses. It’s a sight in itself. The driver will wait until the bus is full. And full is a very subjective point of view. There is always place for one more 😉. They stop multiple times, sometimes only after another 10 m because there stands another one (why not walk where the others are standing?). Thus, the trip is usually much longer 😅

Lithuania 🇱🇹 (676 km)

Where did I leave the last time? Ah, right, at the scene of battle. As I said, just beyond the border in Lithuania, I was viciously attacked. The enemy engaged in overwhelming numbers and my only option was retreat. So, I ran, or in this case pedaled like hell. But still, I was bearing the scars of the fight. Numerous mosquito bites are proof of my valor in battle. As any veteran I will wear them with pride, although, they really hurt.
Maybe you think it’s funny, but not only mosquitos are plenty here, also gadflies. And they all want my blood! 😱

Like a calm river

My time in Argentina is coming to an end. I head back to Chile…and more importantly Patagonia. There is a part of me that would be OK with going home and having a bath BUT I do look forward to the next 5 weeks a lot and they deserve all the attention and happiness I have in store for them 😀
