Day 6 – Wertheim to Ehrlbachweiher (somewhere close to nowhere ;-) )

Sometimes things turn out different than planned…

…but not necessarily for the worse!

I had a beautiful morning. Well, with that kind of view it is really difficult to be anything else but beautiful:

It was also the first (and probably the last) time I did Qigong and Shuang Yang in the morning during this trip.

Again, shortly after 8 am I left in order to get to Würzburg kind of early to catch a train to Nürnberg. Already on the way there I thought that I could also continue on the bike instead and arrive a day later at home. In Würzburg, after doing a short tour of the city (very short indeed) I had to make a decision. And no, the fact that I stink was not the deciding factor and I did not consider the well-being of the train commuters that much 😉 And you guessed right, I am still on my bike and did not take the train. This decision added another 115 km to my trip. And of course I still want to be home tomorrow. Which means I have to ride around 225 km in 2 days. Should be manageable but today I rode a lot just to be on the safer side for tomorrow. The most beautiful part was the beginning along the Main river.

The rest were little bike routes from local communities. Nevertheless, I enjoyed being outside. And tonight I camp alongside a small lake/pond. If you would be here with me you could hear the frogs and different animals doing their evening chanting. I hope they are not up for night chanting as well.

So, this were the 115 km of today:

Summary of day 6: One can only decide in the moment what is “right”.

Love,
Matthias

    1. The weather is really great now. Over 20 degrees, which is hot when cycling but finally I am not freezing my ass off when taking a rest. Me? Learning? Get out of here 😀 Love, Matthias
