Day 3

Sleep is something to be treasured. Lucky if one can get restful night. I hardly ever do. 3 or 3:30am seems to be a special time. When waking up around that time I hardly fall asleep again…like tonight.

Breakfast was not as superb as the day before but decent enough to get us on the road at 9:15am. Sun? Of course!

It’s an amazing sight when you see the snow glittering in the sun. The area we passed through in the morning was beautiful.

At lunch break we came closest to the German border ever…actually I crossed it for fun.

Parts of darker times are still standing:

I’m glad those times are over and we can move as tourists from left to right.

Our track after lunch proofed to make a hassle for us. Needles fell some days ago and slow down the skies tremendously, most surprisingly when on a downhill and suddenly you are stopped to 0.

I was getting very angry. My anger went from the needles to the past relationship and the 2 years that came out not with the result I desired. Anger might make it easier to get over the breakup but it’s not the whole truth. Still, it focuses on my life and that I still have the chance to have a family and either way of a happy life.

The best story of this trip happened when arriving. I had arranged for a taxi to pick us up. When I called him he said he won’t come. Unfortunately, we were in no man’s land and night was coming down fast. So we had to walk another 13k to the next bigger village. But, sometimes angels appear. In this case in the form of 2 Czech ladies that gave us a lift in their car after walking 5 minutes 😀 Thank you universe!

As I write this post a taxi is bringing us back to where we started 3 days ago. I got some distraction from my worries and that is something wonderful. Thank you Peter!

Love,

Matthias
