This was a hurtful leg of the journey…
The morning at the small lake proofed to be beautiful. I slept good and all the noises outside did not bother me. And in the morning I had a bliss state just looking outside and observing nature:

I had a long day ahead of me, so I did start at around 8 am. But only after I got fed up with the camping stove. No tea for me today! 🙁
Right from the start pedaling seemed to be difficult. My legs hurt, my ass complained and the wind was coming from ahead most of the times. I was painfully slow and it did take me until midday to make roughly 40 km. And I knew I had at least another 70 to go.
However, I got really excited in a small beer garden in Fürth. Just for me, they cooked sausages (Nürnberg type) with cabbage. It was delicious:

This did not really improve the cycling though. Many breaks and finally a jump into a very cold pond did. After that I cycled in a good rhythm and more and more I came into familiar ground. At around 8:30 pm I arrived at another beer garden close to my home. I wanted a dark wheat beer and got one. Yes!
On the last kilometers to my home nature surprised me with a special gift:

All in all I did 125 km today (way too many):
With that I can also show you a map with the complete route I took. Apparently, I did 707 km in 7 days. How cool is that?
Summary of day 7: Just because a decision was right, does not mean it is not going to hurt afterwards
Love,
Matthias
Haha this one is funny. Also beautiful views, but I can’t imagine doing so many km in such a short amount of time. How long will it take to recover from that?
Talk to you soon!
Amazing! You commenting on my posts, I mean! I have no idea how long it takes but I can tell you that right now I feel totally exhausted. But, I want to be on the bike again tomorrow for a day trip. It has been a wonderful trip and yes, one could take it with less milage (and some with more) but it was exactly how I wanted it. And shouldn’t we all do that? Hope to chat to you soon! Sending you love and a big hug
